Congratulations to our February Teacher of the Month winner, Mrs. Allyn Hunt. Mrs. Hunt is a 7th grade Language Arts teacher at Liza Jackson Preparatory School. Here’s what her nomination letter say. “Before the pandemic started this teacher has always gone above and beyond for her students. Whether it be reaching out to them, getting them holiday gifts with her own money or staying after school extra any time.. Once the pandemic hit of course it became even more challenging for everyone. I found my daughter falling behind and Mrs. Hunt stayed after school multiple times to work with her and get her caught up in any subject she needed help with, but also helped build up her self esteem.
I’ve been fortunate enough to have her teach two of my children. She is the definition of an amazing teacher and hero!” Z96 has been honoring these local heroes since 1999.
