Trivia Night: Rom-Com Edition, February 9th from 6pm-8pm at Emerald Coast Science Center. This trivia will test your knowledge of your favorite tom-coms! Teams of 2-6 people are allowed. The winning team will receive one $25 gift certificate to the center, good for admission, workshops, gift shop purchases, planetarium events, and more. $12 for nonmembers, $10 for members. Ticket price includes two beverages (beer, wine, and nonalcoholic options available), light appetizers, and of course, chocolates! This event is for 21 & up.

Planetarium Special Feature: STEAM Wars is March 1st with shows at 6 & 7 p.m. The “STEAM Wars” planetarium show will flow through the Star Wars universe and the not-so far, far away planets and moons in our own solar system. The Planetarium, sponsored by FPL, is an inflatable dome with limited space. Guests sit on cushions on the floor of the planetarium to view the show and advance tickets are highly recommended. Pinot & Pioneers is March 14th from 6 -7pm at Emerald Coast Science Center. Grab a glass of vino and celebrate Women’s History month! Learn about the pioneers that shaped our world as we showcase several of our Animal Ambassadors and discuss the groundbreaking scientists they were named after. Come for the snacks, drinks, and cute critters, and stay for the awe-inspiring stories. This event is limited to 25 guests; we recommend grabbing your free tickets online or call us at 850-664-1261 to secure your space. All genders are welcome to join this event, but guests must be ages 21 and over. Light snacks and one drink ticket for a glass of beer/wine/soda available.

Spring Break Workshops March 18-22 and March 27-29, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It’s Spring Break fun for the whole family! Check out hands-on activities, Creature Features, sciPad, and more March 18-22 and March 27-29. We’re open from 10 am. to 3 p.m. each day. March 21

Animal Tales at the Science Center is March 21st with shows at 10:30 & 11:45 a.m. Get up close and personal with unique animals like you’ve never seen! We’ll have a Flemish Giant Rabbit, Kookaburra, Prairie Dog, Bird Eating Tarantula, Tegu, and a Kinkajou in attendance at interactive shows with Animal Tales. You’ll even get to touch some of the animals after each show. Talk about a Spring Break photo op to remember for years to come! Space is limited; purchasing tickets in advance is highly recommended. Online ticket price includes one Animal Tales ticket ($5) plus general admission per person ($12); active Science Center members will also need to purchase show tickets per person (general admission is free for our members). April 13

My Chemical Cocktail is April 13 from 6pm – 9pm. Take part in this cocktail mix off as you sample and vote for the most scientific cocktails in the area. Local bartenders and mixologists will be showcasing the chemistry, biology, and physics behind preparing these exciting cocktails…expand your vodka-bulary by sampling these scientific creations. The evening will also include light refreshments, live music, and chances to win prizes. All proceeds benefit the Emerald Coast Science Center, a 501(c)3 nonprofit. Get into the spirit at this amazing event for guests ages 21 and up.

Military Appreciation Day is April 20th from 10am to 3pm at the Emerald Coast Science Center. All active duty members, veterans, and their families receive free admission to the museum today with valid military ID. Simply present your military ID at check in to receive museum access for your family. Schedule of Events include the sciPad and interactive games on our room-sized iPad from 12-3 p.m. Creature Feature at 1:30 p.m. where you can get up close with some of the center’s Animal Ambassadors. Seating for the Creature Feature is available on a first come, first served basis. No reservations accepted. Homeschool Science Fair is April 23rd from 4 to 7pm. Both competitive and non-competitive divisions are available for participation. Students ages 6 and up are invited to participate in the fair; students must be able to present their experiments on their own for our judges. This is an excellent opportunity for all homeschool students looking to explore the various STEM disciplines. Light refreshments provided.
