Shelter House, local Domestic Violence center, and Ronald McDonald House present the second Purses with a Purpose at the Destin Commons, Thursday, May 6, 2010.
Purses with a Purpose is a purse auction where new and lightly used designer purses are donated to be auctioned off with all profits benefiting Shelter House and Ronald McDonald House. The event will take place 5:30 – 8:30 pm with the exact storefront location to be announced shortly.
Purse donations may be dropped off at the following locations: Shelter House administration office, 102 Buck Drive in Fort Walton Beach; Shelter House Walton County office, 78 Lynn Drive in Santa Rosa Beach; or Mermaids Boutique at the Destin Commons. Ronald McDonald House is a group of individuals, staff and volunteers dedicated to meeting the mission of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Florida to be the Best Home-Away-From-Home for children and families of children suffering a medical crisis.
Shelter House is the state-certified domestic violence shelter serving victims of domestic violence in Okaloosa and Walton counties. Services provided include 24-hour hotline, crisis counseling, advocacy, outreach, primary prevention, transitional housing and confidential shelter.
