The NAACP4Haiti Concert in the Park, organized by the Okaloosa County Branch of the NAACP, will be on Sunday, March 14, from Noon to 6 pm at the Landing. The Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce is proud to support the effort, and is helping to organize the event.
The Chamber is accepting applications from food and craft vendors to serve the many concert attendees. Here's a great opportunity for you to promote your business and to help out with a great cause at the same time.
Non-profit/merchandise/craft booths are $50 each for an 8' by 10' booth. The charge for a 12' by 12' food vendor booth is $100 per booth (plus a refundable $100 cleaning deposit). All drink sales will be handled by the Chamber. If you are interested in reserving a booth, please contact Patti Bohnsack at the Chamber (244-8191 or patti@fwbchamber.org).
There is a full slate of performers. Noon to 4 pm will feature Rock, Reggae, R&B, and Latin -- 4 to 6 pm will feature Gospel. Performers include: Tropisound; recording artist Debra Ashley, Touched by Grace, Helvetica Effect; Blood Stained Grace; Fat Lipped Fish, NuGulf Coast Youth Choir; Hurlburt Field Choir; Greater Peace Mass Choir; Ms. Mileage Moffett; with a special performance by the Colemans and Delena.
All proceeds will benefit the NAACP4Haiti Relief Fund and a local charity doing work in Haiti.
The event is sponsored by the Okaloosa County Branch of the NAACP, the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce, Best Buy, Cox Communications, and the U.S. Dept. of Commerce Bureau of the Census.
